Merry Christmas

Coyote Buttes South, Arizona

Before the trip to Mexico end of 2015, we spent 3 days exploring the whole Vermilion Cliff area. From The Wave to White Pocket to Coyote Buttes South. Now The Wave is unbelievably famous, White Pocket has been no longer a secret to landscape photographer for a long time, yet comparing to these two, Coyote Buttes South is much less traveled. But I like it the most. Numberless teepees offers so much views and photography opportunities. And do come in winter when there is snow over the ground and the teepees, it is totally a different world. This is where we spent our Christmas Eve. Watching the view of snow over the red rocks, with the fog rolling in, we Merry Christmas to ourselves in front of these red and white “Christmas trees”.
